The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPhearson dives in and grabs St Pierre's left leg, looking for a takedown. St Pierre pushes down on McPhearson's head and hops out.

McPhearson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McPhearson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

McPhearson is trying to control St Pierre's posture but St Pierre avoids it.
St Pierre is trying to move to mount but McPhearson reverses beautifully and ends up in St Pierre's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McPhearson throws a strike but St Pierre rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
