In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 5 losses; John Lee! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 23 wins and 20 losses; Ishiihara Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Sakuraba bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Lee is trying to control Sakuraba's posture but Sakuraba avoids it.
Sakuraba tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lee's legs.

Sakuraba drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Sakuraba off! Sakuraba jumps back into Lee's guard.
Lee has control of Sakuraba's left arm, preventing Sakuraba from doing any damage.
Sakuraba wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position.
Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sakuraba is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Let's hope that Sakuraba has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
