Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Salomon Mukunzi (ranked 1109 p4p, 1284 weight class) and Daniel Sanninen (ranked 163 p4p, 192 weight class). Mukunzi's entrance music is All We Got - Chance The Rapper. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Salomon Mukunzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Sanninen!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mukunzi misses with a lunging right hand

and Sanninen counters by moving into the clinch.
Mukunzi is pushing Sanninen up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sanninen.
Mukunzi lands a hook that snaps the head of Sanninen backwards.
Sanninen misses with a punch on the inside.
Nice body punch from Mukunzi.
The referee calls for Mukunzi to work.
Mukunzi stalling the fight.

Mukunzi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sanninen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mukunzi.
Sanninen wants to counter the offense by Mukunzi and move into the clinch position.
Mukunzi misses the jab.
Sanninen is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanninen now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Mukunzi scores with the left hand. Sanninen knows he should have avoided that one.
Mukunzi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanninen was well out of range. Poor timing from Mukunzi.
Sanninen throws a body kick that misses
and Mukunzi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sanninen. Mukunzi does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sanninen lands with a nice body punch.
Sanninen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Mukunzi throws a good cross that connects.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sanninen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sanninen looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Sanninen takes a swing at Mukunzi's ribcage but misses.

Mukunzi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sanninen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sanninen thuds a left hand into Mukunzi's body.

Sanninen cracks Mukunzi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Sanninen wants to counter the offense by Mukunzi and move into the clinch position.
Sanninen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Good shot there by Sanninen.
Sanninen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sanninen throws a hook but Mukunzi avoids it easily.

Sanninen is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sanninen throws a body shot but no joy.
It looked like Mukunzi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Mukunzi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sanninen walks into a straight right hand from Mukunzi.
Mukunzi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sanninen is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mukunzi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Mukunzi lands a body shot.
Sanninen thuds a left hand into Mukunzi's body.
Mukunzi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sanninen swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mukunzi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mukunzi throws a lazy right hand but Sanninen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sanninen tries to counter with a clinch but Mukunzi shakes him off and moves away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Daniel Sanninen will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sanninen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mukunzi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mukunzi throws out a powerful jab.

Sanninen is rocked!
Sanninen throws out a loose jab but Mukunzi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sanninen is still on wobbly legs! Can Mukunzi finish him?
Sanninen throws a hook to the side of Mukunzi's head but Mukunzi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A big right from Sanninen misses.
Sanninen seems to have recovered his senses.
Daniel Sanninen seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sanninen throws a head kick that misses
and Mukunzi counters with a crisp right that sends Sanninen to the canvas! Mukunzi follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Salomon Mukunzi!
A relieved looking Salomon Mukunzi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Daniel Sanninen was interviewed post fight and said 'Opponent fought well. Congratulations. Back to the training. I'll be back!'.
