Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Vrjalya (ranked 22616 p4p, 2976 weight class) and Avraam Papadopoulos (ranked 618 p4p, 387 weight class). Papadopoulos has chosen Lil Uzi Vert - That's A Rack as his entrance music. Avraam Papadopoulos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ken Vrjalya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Avraam Papadopoulos!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papadopoulos cracks Vrjalya with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Nice defenses there by Vrjalya.
It looked like Vrjalya wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That kick from Papadopoulos tenderised Vrjalya's leg. Vrjalya is trying to keep his angry face on.

Papadopoulos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Vrjalya controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Papadopoulos controls Vrjalya momentarily but Vrjalya frees himself.

We've been hearing good reports from Vrjalya's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Avraam Papadopoulos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vrjalya shoots in looking for a takedown. Papadopoulos tries to sprawl out of it but Vrjalya keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Papadopoulos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vrjalya has a takedown stuffed.

Vrjalya throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Papadopoulos's waist but Papadopoulos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vrjalya off to one side.

Vrjalya slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Papadopoulos cracks Vrjalya with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Vrjalya shoots in looking for a takedown but Papadopoulos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vrjalya's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Papadopoulos connects with a body shot that sends Vrjalya's belly button to the back.

Papadopoulos lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Vrjalya dives in for a single leg takedown but Papadopoulos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Vrjalya misses with a punch on the inside.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vrjalya goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Papadopoulos.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Vrjalya has hold of one of Papadopoulos's legs. Papadopoulos is fighting the takedown attempt but Vrjalya gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Papadopoulos connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vrjalya's hands.

Papadopoulos throws a series of punches but Vrjalya avoids them all with ease.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vrjalya is defended easily by Papadopoulos.

Papadopoulos is looking for a sweep. Vrjalya is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Vrjalya manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Papadopoulos on his heels. He'll look to pass Papadopoulos's guard now, I'm sure.
