Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Chapman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ladislas Galopin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Summer Carpenter and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Galopin.
It looked like Chapman was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Chapman displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Chapman scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Chapman just misses with a punch to the body.
And Galopin tries to counter it with a takedown but Chapman pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Chapman connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Chapman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chapman wants it to stay on the feet.
Galopin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Chapman counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Galopin dives in and scores a takedown into Chapman's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chapman tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Galopin has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

A close round but Ladislas Galopin will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The fighters circling - Chapman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Galopin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Chapman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Chapman. Galopin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Galopin with the counter takedown but Chapman avoids it easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Galopin has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Foundry. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Galopin moves forwards but Chapman connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Chapman throws a hook but Galopin blocks it.
Chapman scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Chapman rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Galopin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chapman won't be happy with that.
Chapman prevents Galopin from moving into mount.
Galopin has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Chapman!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Galopin controlling the pace for now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ladislas Galopin will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chapman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Galopin.
Chapman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Galopin momentarily.

Galopin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Galopin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chapman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Chapman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Galopin is working away from the top position though.

Galopin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chapman is just riding it out for now. Galopin eventually gives up the hold.
Chapman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Galopin on the ground.
Chapman wants to get back to full guard.
Ladislas Galopin is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
