Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Big Bobby (ranked 23102 p4p, 2475 weight class) and Kingsley Brown (ranked 707 p4p, 304 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Big Bobby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kingsley Brown!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bobby moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brown connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Big Bobby has been cut.
Brown connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Bobby closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the ropes.

Bobby's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brown scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Bobby gets a clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Brown just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bobby's brow.

Bobby pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Brown connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Brown throws a head kick that misses
and Bobby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Kingsley Brown has been cut.
Big Bobby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bobby throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brown stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bobby lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Bobby throws an off balance right hand
and Brown counters with a series of strikes. Bobby will be more careful next time no doubt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Brown has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Bobby escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bobby tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bobby throws a body shot but no joy.

Brown closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Bobby crashing to the mat! Bobby uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Bobby avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bobby swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Bobby misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bobby throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Brown's head.
Bobby throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bobby lands a lovely overhand right.
Brown defending well as Bobby loads up on a big left hand.
Bobby is looking to score with low kicks.
Brown jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Big Bobby's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Brown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bobby to score with a decent uppercut.
Brown's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bobby connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Brown scrambles back to his feet.

That has opened up Kingsley Brown's cut even more.
Bobby moves to clinch but Brown breaks away
and Brown counters with a nice uppercut.
Bobby throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Brown cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Jeez, Big Bobby's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Bobby throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.
Brown uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bobby.
Bobby fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bobby is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.
Despite the aggression on Brown's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Brown throws a head kick but Bobby moves out of range.

Bobby has closed the distance and engaged Brown in a clinch.
Bobby wants to get back to striking at distance but Brown won't allow it.
Bobby throws an elbow but it's blocked.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Brown.

Bobby's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brown with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Bobby jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Bobby fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brown on the side of the head.
Bobby tries to clinch but Brown is having none of it.
Brown looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bobby throws a one two combo.

The cut above Kingsley Brown's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Bobby takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nice uppercut there from Brown.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Big Bobby's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
