Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Joestar (ranked 22238 p4p, 23786 weight class) and Ezekel Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 592 weight class). Ezekel Rage has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Joseph Joestar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Joestar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ezekel Rage!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rage darts in and clinches Joestar up against the cage.
Rage lands a left hand.
Rage fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Joestar is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rage is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Joestar to the mat. Joestar regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Rage wants to control from the top but Joestar keeps moving.
Joestar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Joestar tries to get out of the position.
Rage is pushing down on Joestar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Joestar is fighting to maintain full guard but Rage has managed to sneak the leg through.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Joestar keeps working.

Rage is working for a kimura but Joestar is defending it quite comfortably.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rage working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Rage thows a huge punch but Joestar dodges it nicely.

Rage is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Rage is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Joestar defends it well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rage throwing shots but Joestar is blocking nicely.
Rage looks to land a strike but Joestar avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Rage working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Joestar's head.
Rage trying to control the position from guard on top but Joestar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Joestar wants to get back to his feet but Rage is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Joestar manages to break the clinch.
Rage shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Joestar pinned against the cage. Joestar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Rage rushes Joestar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ezekel Rage dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Joestar seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Rage changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Joestar tries to avoid it but Rage manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Joestar to the ground. Joestar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rage throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Joestar's waist but Joestar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rage off to one side.

Rage closes the distance and clinches up with Joestar, looking for a takedown. Rage pushes Joestar against the cage but Joestar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rage's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Rage tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Joestar avoids a wild elbow strike from Rage.

Rage tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Joestar smiles and moves away.

Joestar seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

It looked like Joestar was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Rage has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Rage rushes Joestar and presses him up against the cage.

Joestar is trying to force a seperation but Rage has the dominant position.

The crowd are getting on Rage's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Ezekel Rage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Rage is stalling here. Joestar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rage seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Joestar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Rage jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Joestar walks away with a smile on his face. Rage gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Joestar pushes Rage off looking to stand but Rage dives back in and keeps control.
Rage passes to side control.
Rage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Joestar keeps working.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joseph Joestar.
I think Rage has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
