Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kuta Mante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Johnathan!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnathan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Johnathan throwing strikes but missing.
Johnathan stays in close to Mante's body and controls the position.
Johnathan postures up in Mante's guard and throws a big left but Mante blocks it.
Johnathan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Johnathan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Johnathan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Johnathan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnathan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Mante wants to stand but Johnathan is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mante throws a combination. Johnathan tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Jim Johnathan has been cut.
Johnathan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mante tries to avoid it but Johnathan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mante to the ground. Mante escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mante darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Johnathan controlling the position well.
Johnathan manages to get to full guard.
Mante has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mante wants to stand but Johnathan is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnathan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mante is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Johnathan has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mante is looking to defend but Johnathan has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mante! Johnathan pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mante taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jim Johnathan!
A relieved looking Jim Johnathan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
