Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blade Wolf (ranked 24830 p4p, 5358 weight class) and Robin Hood (ranked 615 p4p, 518 weight class). Robin Hood will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Robin Hood!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hood wants to counter with a clinch but Wolf pushes him away.
Wolf fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hood misses with the combination.

Hood swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Hood wants to counter the offense by Wolf and move into the clinch position.

Hood moves into range and clinches up with Wolf.
I was talking to Wolf's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Wolf wants the takedown. Hood is fighting it off but Wolf persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hood's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wolf accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wolf seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hood for as long as he can get away with.
Hood is trying to maintain the position but Wolf is very close to passing his half guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wolf throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Hood has his hands clasped together but Wolf breaks the hold and Hood is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Wolf!
