Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Davy Bauwens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Son comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I WILL BE HEARD kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Daniel Son has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Davy Bauwens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Son!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Son instigates a clinch.
Son with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Son tries to land a knee to the head but Bauwens blocks with his arms.
Bauwens is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Son pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Bauwens manages to pull guard.
Bauwens looking to hit a scissor sweep but Son is one step ahead there.
Son cracks Bauwens with a solid left hand.
Bauwens is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bauwens has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Son can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bauwens looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Son trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bauwens manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bauwens is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Son can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Bauwens has his foot on Son's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Son works his way back into a safe position though.

Son tries to free his leg and advance position but Bauwens is retaining full guard.

Bauwens bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Son's guard.

Bauwens wants to stand but Son has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bauwens trying to move into half guard but instead Son has managed to sweep!
Bauwens lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Son!

Bauwens looking to control but Son is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Son will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Son throws a shot from downtown. Bauwens moves away and avoids it.
Bauwens looks for a takedown but Son sprawls well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Son rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bauwens moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bauwens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Son circles away.

Son connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A head kick misses from Son.

Bauwens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Son is fending him off so far but Bauwens persists. Nope, Son circles away and we're back to standing.

Son is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Oh but Bauwens is tightening it up a little... Son has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Son reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Son taps out! nice BJJ there by Bauwens!
