Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christophe Dupree (ranked 574 p4p, 311 weight class) and Felix Inarritu (ranked 95 p4p, 54 weight class). Dupree comes to the cage accompanied by Eddie Vedder - Society. Inarritu has chosen Vulcano as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Christophe Dupree!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Felix Inarritu!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupree turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Nice body punch from Dupree.
Inarritu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dupree.

Dupree looks to throw the jab but Inarritu is out of range.

and Inarritu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Christophe Dupree seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dupree tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Inarritu was well out of range. Poor timing from Dupree.

and Inarritu counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Inarritu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Inarritu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dupree looks to score with a jab to the body but Inarritu is just out of range.
Dupree throws a leg kick that is checked
and Inarritu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Inarritu counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Christophe Dupree has been cut.

Dupree takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dupree is breathing heavily.
Dupree misses the body punch
and Inarritu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Inarritu cracks Dupree with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Dupree tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Inarritu pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Dupree is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Felix Inarritu!
