PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ragnar Lothbrock (ranked 3040 p4p, 23004 weight class) and Charles Foster (ranked 377 p4p, 629 weight class). Foster has chosen Nuclear Power Trio - A Clear and Present Rager as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lothbrock gets a clinch.

Foster pulls Lothbrock into guard.
Lothbrock might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lothbrock loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Foster tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lothbrock just stands there and leans against the cage.

Foster is pressed up against the cage. Lothbrock has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Foster down to the mat. Foster avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Foster throws a right hand that Lothbrock ducks under and follows up with a left that Lothbrock also avoids with ease.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The referee is keeping an eye on Foster - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Foster! But no joy.

Foster uses his free foot to push down on Lothbrock's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lothbrock.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
