PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quintet Tarantino (ranked 1166 p4p, 750 weight class) and Miki Viki (ranked 164 p4p, 99 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Viki looks to land a combination but Tarantino avoids it well.
Quintet Tarantino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tarantino changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Viki tries to avoid it but Tarantino manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Viki to the ground. Viki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tarantino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tarantino shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Viki's guard.

Tarantino has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Viki is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tarantino pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
