PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Moose McKinley (ranked 4096 p4p, 24468 weight class) and Generic Jobber (ranked 64 p4p, 114 weight class). Jobber has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Moose McKinley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Generic Jobber!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jobber slips under a jab from McKinley.
McKinley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jobber looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
McKinley cracks Jobber with a good jab.
McKinley connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
McKinley throws the left hand but Jobber avoids the punch easily.
Jobber displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McKinley throws out the jab.
Jobber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McKinley but McKinley pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Nice uppercut there from McKinley.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McKinley throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jobber shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jobber fails in his attempt to clinch.
McKinley misses the jab.

McKinley jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
McKinley looks to land a combination but Jobber avoids it well.
Jobber with the counter takedown but McKinley avoids it easily.
McKinley is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jobber takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
McKinley jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
McKinley is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
McKinley connects with a jab.
Jobber tries to score a power double leg takedown but McKinley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jobber somewhat.
Jobber is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters circling - McKinley throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McKinley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jobber.
Jobber tries to clinch there but McKinley circles away.
McKinley throws a big counter combination but Jobber scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Nice defenses there by Jobber.
We've been told by McKinley's head coaches at The Barn that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jobber uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McKinley.
Jobber takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McKinley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McKinley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jobber let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
McKinley scores with a hook to the body. Jobber takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Jobber takes one to the chin there.
Jobber takes a shot right to the bread basket.
McKinley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A combination from McKinley does no damage.
McKinley moves into range and connects with a jab.
Danga de danga de dang - McKinley scores with a four punch combination!
McKinley cracks a nice hook into Jobber's ribs.
McKinley stuns Jobber with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
McKinley cracks Jobber with a right hand to the side of the head.
McKinley throws a series of punches but Jobber avoids them all with ease.
McKinley works Jobber's body with a nice hook.
McKinley lands a head shot.
McKinley lands with a shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McKinley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Jobber is rocked!
McKinley scores with a jab. Jobber acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jobber is still on wobbly legs! Can McKinley finish him?
Moose McKinley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKinley connects with the punch.
and McKinley counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Jobber! He's just covering up as McKinley starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, Moose McKinley thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
