Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Roumain (ranked 5221 p4p, 4091 weight class) and Luka Delija (ranked 549 p4p, 494 weight class). Roumain comes into the arena with Paper Trail$ - Joey Bada$$ blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roumain lands with a nice body punch.
Delija tries to clinch there but Roumain circles away.
Roumain bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Delija's head backwards.
Delija has a takedown stuffed.
Roumain loads up on a big right hand but Delija slips the punch.
Delija ducks under a wild hook from Roumain .
Roumain 's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Roumain duly obliges.
Roumain connects with a body shot that sends Delija's belly button to the back.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Delija ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've been informed that Delija has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Nelson Roumain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Delija shoots for a double leg takedown but Roumain sprawls well. He's pushed Delija's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Delija tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roumain sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Delija somewhat.
Delija tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roumain paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Roumain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Delija uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Roumain .

and Roumain counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Nelson Roumain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Roumain closes the distance and pushes Delija back into the cage.
Delija is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Roumain to keep the fight standing.
Roumain gets through Delija's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Roumain creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Roumain misses with a punch to the body.
Roumain lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Delija or not.
Roumain misses with the head strike.
Roumain avoids the elbow strike from Delija, against the cage.

Roumain breaks from the clinch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Delija crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Roumain - the referee stops the clock and Delija gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Roumain . Delija manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

It looks like Luka Delija has been cut.
Roumain lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Roumain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Roumain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Delija moves away.
Delija feints a counter leg kick.

Roumain instigates a clinch.

Delija jumps guard and drags Roumain to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Roumain catches Delija with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Roumain , as that shot connected.
Roumain digs a good body shot into Delija's ribs.
Luka Delija is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Delija throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Roumain moves in looking to clinch but Delija pushes him off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delija dives in for a single leg takedown but Roumain sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Roumain drops Delija with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Delija looks back up at him and smiles so Roumain waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Delija looks up at the clock. Bad move! Roumain lands a right hand from hell, dropping Delija. Roumain pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

A very excited looking Nelson Roumain rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
