Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaki Mountain (ranked 1885 p4p, 1579 weight class) and Noah Ortega (ranked 257 p4p, 231 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kaki Mountain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Ortega!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ortega fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mountain manages to avoid it.
Mountain was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ortega has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ortega shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ortega was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mountain's coaches at Jorzi GYM have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Mountain drops Ortega with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ortega looks back up at him and smiles so Mountain waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Mountain fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A slow jab from Mountain misses its intended target.
Mountain loads up on a big right hand but Ortega slips the punch.
Ortega fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Mountain throws a solid leg kick but Ortega takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mountain.
Mountain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ortega can do to turn this around?

A decent looking cross lands there for Mountain.

Mountain cracks Ortega with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mountain has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ortega to stand back up!
Ortega is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mountain sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mountain lands a really nice looking cross but Ortega seems unphased.
Mountain uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ortega has time to react.
Mountain cracks Ortega with a hook to the temple - Ortega is on wobbly legs here! Mountain swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Ortega falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Mountain wins by TKO!
