Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

We've been informed that Simmons has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Simmons closes the distance and clinches.
Simmons breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Ruas with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Ruas looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Ruas get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? No, he's flopped back to the mat - he's out - this one is all over!
