Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beau Lauzon (ranked 1258 p4p, 2053 weight class) and Gage Bennett (ranked 184 p4p, 278 weight class). Lauzon comes to the cage accompanied by Vitamin R (Leading Us Along) by Chevelle. Gage Bennett will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Lauzon.
Bennett has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Bennett remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Bennett stands and throws Lauzon's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bennett is looking to advance position but Lauzon won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lauzon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lauzon is looking to chop away at Bennett's legs.
Lauzon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

That was a close second round but I would say that Beau Lauzon will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Lauzon has control of Bennett's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bennett regains control of the situation pretty easily.
