Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between August Jeaux (ranked 4016 p4p, 23478 weight class) and LaDarian Frank (ranked 471 p4p, 599 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, August Jeaux!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, LaDarian Frank!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jeaux moves into the clinch.
Jeaux tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Frank's elbow.
Jeaux lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Frank or not.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Jeaux lands a left hand that snaps the head of Frank backwards.

Jeaux's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jeaux displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Frank throws out the jab.
Frank misses with a double jab.
Jeaux connects with a leg kick.
Jeaux throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Frank.

and Jeaux counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Frank tries to keep at a distance but Jeaux has taken the fight into the clinch.
Frank is trying to force a seperation but Jeaux has the dominant position.
Jeaux throws a punch but it's blocked by Frank.
Jeaux tries a body shot but Frank blocks it.
Frank misses with a short punch on the inside.
Frank tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Frank misses with the head strike.

Frank's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Frank fails to land with a series of punches.
Jeaux paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jeaux bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Frank's head.
Jeaux walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Frank checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jeaux looks to throw the jab but Frank is out of range.

Frank closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Jeaux crashing to the mat! Jeaux uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

It looks like August Jeaux has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jeaux closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jeaux throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Frank looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Frank lands a lovely overhand right.

Oh Jeaux is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Frank throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jeaux sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Frank lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jeaux circles away quickly and effectively.
A jab from Jeaux misses.
Frank throws out a counter right but Jeaux avoids it with no problem.
Jeaux is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Frank doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Jeaux crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Jeaux's bad books for that mishap!
