Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Hawthorne (ranked 5214 p4p, 4606 weight class) and Jason Bangs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hawthorne might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Schism by Tool. Bangs has chosen The Ginger Jam as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bangs with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hawthorne to score with a decent uppercut.
Hawthorne listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Hawthorne lands a jab to the nose.
Hawthorne feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bangss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hawthorne throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bangs.
It looks like Jason Bangs has been cut.

Hawthorne is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Bangs is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bangs glances at the clock... BAM! Hawthorne nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Bangs crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Bangs is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
