Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Askrew (ranked 1608 p4p, 2589 weight class) and Jimothy Jones (ranked 212 p4p, 340 weight class). Jimothy Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Askrew feinted with a counter takedown.
Jones scores with a hook.
Jones wants to clinch up but Askrew keeps it at a distance.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Askrew in a clinch.
Askrew can't get the takedown.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Askrew has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Askrew counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jones !

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Askrew. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Askrew has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jones is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Askrew yanks on the arm and Jones is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Askrew.
