Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Shalashaska (ranked 307 p4p, 250 weight class) and Dick Winters (ranked 46 p4p, 42 weight class). Winters has chosen All Along the Watchtower as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Shalashaska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dick Winters!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winters slips under a jab.
Shalashaska displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Winters.
Winters fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shalashaska appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shalashaska tries to throw a body punch but Winters avoids it by throwing Shalashaska back against the cage.
Winters is trying to pull guard but Shalashaska turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Winters turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Shalashaska is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Shalashaska tries to roll over but Winters keeps him under control.
Winters thows a huge punch but Shalashaska dodges it nicely.

Shalashaska is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Winters pulls his head out easily.
Shalashaska is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Shalashaska trying to hold on to Winters's head to control him but Winters postures up.

Winters is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shalashaska makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shalashaska.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Shalashaska controls Winters momentarily but Winters frees himself.
Shalashaska has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Winters has passed into side control.
Shalashaska is looking to reverse the position.
Winters controlling the position from side mount.
Winters trying to control the position but Shalashaska is working away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee asks Winters politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Winters prefers to stall for the moment though.
Shalashaska tries to improve position but can't.
Shalashaska sneaks back into half guard.
Winters is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Winters wants to control from the top but Shalashaska keeps moving.
Winters might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Shalashaska haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Shalashaska counters with a right hand to the body.

Shalashaska throws a hook but Winters blocks it.

Shalashaska gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Winters to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Winters manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Shalashaska on his heels. He'll look to pass Shalashaska's guard now, I'm sure.

Winters is trying to move to mount but Shalashaska reverses beautifully and ends up in Winters's guard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shalashaska tries to work over Winters's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Winters tries for a takedown. No joy.

Winters fails to pull the fight into his guard.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Shalashaska creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Shalashaska breaks from the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Winters wants to pass the guard but Shalashaska is keeping the position.
Winters is looking to work some ground and pound but Shalashaska has wrist control.

We've been told by Shalashaska's head coaches at Shut Up & Train! {$1000} that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Winters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shalashaska tries to avoid it but Winters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shalashaska to the ground. Shalashaska escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Shalashaska was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Shalashaska is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Winters can do to turn this around?
The fight stays on the outside here - Winters looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shalashaska swings for the body but Winters moves out of range.
Winters tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Winters shoots for a takedown but Shalashaska saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Winters shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Shalashaska wants to stand back up but Winters manages to pass into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Shalashaska's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dick Winters has got the better of the ground game so far.
Winters cracks Shalashaska with a big right hand but Shalashaska just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Shalashaska.
I think Shalashaska has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
