Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Einar (ranked 4671 p4p, 2873 weight class) and Jerry Short (ranked 279 p4p, 179 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Einar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Black Stone Cherry - Again. The crowd seem to be enjoying Short's choice of entrance music: Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Short has a takedown stuffed.

Short drives through with a takedown into guard.
Einar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Short on the ground.
Short trying to control but Einar is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Short drops back looking for a leg! Einar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Einar manages to kick Short off! Short jumps back into Einar's guard.

Short thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Einar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Einar tries to get out of the position.

Short in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Short drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Short jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
