Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xande Moreno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Bangs!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bangs blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Moreno controlling the action here for a moment.
Moreno cracks Bangs with a nice body shot.
Moreno lands with a light punch inside.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Moreno.
A short uppercut from Moreno.
Bangs is looking to break free of the clinch but Moreno has double underhooks.
Bangs is trying to break the clinch but Moreno is controlling him.
Moreno blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Moreno lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Moreno.
Bangs takes a shot to the head.
Bangs being controlled against the cage.
Bangs tries to break free but Moreno pushes him back against the cage.
Bangs wants to get back to striking at distance but Moreno won't allow it.
Still in the clinch, Moreno scores with a nice short uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moreno lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bangs backwards.
Moreno blocks an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Moreno creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Moreno creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Bangs with a big uppercut! Bangs tries to clinch up but Moreno pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Bangs to the mat! Bangs covers up and Moreno unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Xande Moreno!
Jason Bangs was interviewed post fight and said 'You know what man, it sucks that I lost but, I'm just here to fight. Win, lose, draw or anything else, I'm always exciting to watch.'.
