Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Konichiwa Jempsa (ranked 434 p4p, 693 weight class) and Brutalis Rhino (ranked 66 p4p, 104 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Konichiwa Jempsa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brutalis Rhino!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jempsa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brutalis Rhino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jempsa throws a series of punches but Rhino avoids them all with ease.

Jempsa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rhino's guard.

Rhino manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rhino rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jempsa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rhino thuds a left hand into Jempsa's body.
Rhino has his takedown stuffed

and Jempsa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rhino won't be happy with that.

Rhino bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jempsa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jempsa showed some decent athleticism there.

Rhino makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Rhino slaps away a takedown attempt from Jempsa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rhino misses with a head kick.
Rhino shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jempsa counters with a shoot takedown. Rhino fights it but they end up in guard.

Rhino is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Rhino is trying to trip Jempsa. He has hold of a leg but Jempsa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rhino persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Rhino won't allow Jempsa to sweep him here.
Jempsa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jempsa seems keen to control Rhino's posture.

Rhino is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rhino stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jempsa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jempsa wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Jempsa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rhino pinned against the cage. Rhino gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jempsa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Rhino manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jempsa in particular looking to stall.
Jempsa prevents Rhino from improving his position.
Rhino wants to get back to his feet.
Jempsa scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Rhino wants to improve his position but Jempsa is controlling well.
Jempsa is looking to take a break and control but Rhino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rhino tries to get to full guard but Jempsa has control of the leg.
Rhino is staying active underneath Jempsa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We've been hearing that Jempsa has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Rhino bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jempsa's guard.

Brutalis Rhino dominated that round.
That's time! Jempsa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Jempsa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rhino swivels and escapes.
Jempsa connects with a looping right hand.
Rhino is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jempsa tries for a takedown but Rhino sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jempsa lands with a good body shot.
Jempsa pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Jempsa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rhino to the ground. Jempsa is now in Rhino's guard.

Rhino wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rhino is still trying to improve position.
Jempsa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Rhino is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jempsa is pushing down on Rhino's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rhino is fighting to maintain full guard but Jempsa has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jempsa is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Rhino tries to roll over but Jempsa keeps him under control.
Jempsa is looking to take a break and control but Rhino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rhino has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jempsa lands a nice short elbow.
Rhino moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Rhino is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jempsa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rhino has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jempsa has managed to get both his arms back between Rhino's legs - danger averted.

Rhino has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jempsa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jempsa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jempsa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rhino gets back to half guard.
Rhino manages to get to full guard.
Jempsa won't allow Rhino to sweep him here.
Jempsa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jempsa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Rhino takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Konichiwa Jempsa dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Jempsa moves away from the strike by Rhino.
Jempsa takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Konichiwa Jempsa has been cut.
Rhino throws a sloppy body shot
and Rhino takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jempsa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rhino quickly recovers to half guard.
Jempsa takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jempsa is taking a breather. Rhino says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Rhino tries to roll over but Jempsa keeps him under control.
Rhino pushes Jempsa off looking to stand but Jempsa dives back in and keeps control.
Jempsa slows the pace down in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jempsa lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Jempsa takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Jempsa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jempsa is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rhino!
Rhino wants to hold on but Jempsa pushes him away.
Jempsa tries to control but Rhino wriggling away.
Jempsa lands a nice shot to the head.
Rhino is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jempsa is landing with some decent strikes but Rhino is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jempsa lands a big shot there that rocks Rhino but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jempsa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rhino is looking to escape.
Rhino is bucking up trying to escape but Jempsa cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Rhino is rocked!

Jempsa working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Rhino is still in real trouble! Can Jempsa finish him?

Jempsa scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Rhino?
Jempsa loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Rhino scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Jempsa land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Jempsa stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Konichiwa Jempsa!
