The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Easterly pushes Toryiama up against the cage in a clinch.
Easterly is looking to take this one to the mat.
Easterly is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Toryiama tries to pull guard but Easterly forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Easterly has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Toryiama is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Toryiama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Easterly doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Easterly manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Toryiama seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Easterly for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toryiama seems to be working for a kimura but Easterly defends the submission attempt.
Toryiama is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Toryiama wants to free his trapped foot but Easterly is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Easterly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Toryiama. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Toryiama tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Easterly turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Toryiama off and cradles Easterly 's limp body as Toryiama celebrates with his corner.
