The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cena forces Mahrez back against the cage and clinches.

Cena is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mahrez can't fight it off and eventually Cena manages to take the fight to the floor. Mahrez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mahrez tries to buck Cena off but Cena is having none of it.

Cena is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mahrez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Mahrez can't escape the position.
Cena throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Cena avoids the attempt from Mahrez to control.
Mahrez sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Cena is thwarting Mahrez's attempts to control the position.

Mahrez looking for submissions off his back.
Mahrez has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Sparring and Physicals. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Cena is trying to defend against the choke here but Mahrez has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Mahrez Tightens the hold and Cena taps out furiously! Mahrez displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
