Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximilian Bonaparte (ranked 2388 p4p, 2347 weight class) and Nikita Koloff (ranked 302 p4p, 296 weight class). Nikita Koloff told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nikita Koloff!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koloff misses with a right hand
and Koloff takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Nikita Koloff has been cut.
Bonaparte slips under a jab.
Koloff throws a poor cross that misses
and Bonaparte counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Koloff takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bonaparte tried to score with a low kick but Koloff checks it.
Koloff throws out a counter right but Bonaparte avoids it with no problem.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bonaparte feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Koloff sprawling to the canvas! Koloff rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bonaparte finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It seemed like Koloff was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Bonaparte seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Bonaparte is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Nikita Koloff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bonaparte throws a lazy uppercut
and Koloff counters with a nice uppercut.
Bonaparte drops Koloff with a beautiful combination! Koloff stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bonaparte is looking for the KO!
Bonaparte throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Koloff.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Koloff swings away with a body shot that misses
and Bonaparte counters with a head kick that drops Koloff to the mat! Koloff scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Koloff has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bonaparte takes a swing at Koloff's ribcage but misses.

and Bonaparte counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bonaparte throws a sloppy head kick
and Koloff counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bonaparte sets himself, and Koloff steps forward looking for the clinch! Bonaparte avoids it this time.

Bonaparte shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Bonaparte connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That has opened up Nikita Koloff's cut even more.
Koloff throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Koloff takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

letting Bonaparte counter with a right hand.
Bonaparte misses with a wild body shot.
Koloff swings away with a body shot that misses
and Bonaparte counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
