Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bertel Haardt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Del Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haardt moves into the clinch.
Lewis looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Haardt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Haardt wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Haardt drops Lewis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lewis looks back up at him and smiles so Haardt waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Lewis is rocked!
It looks like Del Lewis has been cut.
Haardt throws a pinpoint strike between Lewis's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Lewis crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Haardt scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bertel Haardt!
