Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Kicker (ranked 6233 p4p, 24119 weight class) and Jurgen Kong (ranked 106 p4p, 122 weight class). Maurice Kicker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jurgen Kong's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maurice Kicker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jurgen Kong!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kicker misses with a combination

and Kong decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kicker's guard.
Kong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kicker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kong postures up in Kicker's guard and throws a big left but Kicker blocks it.

Kong stands up from Kicker's guard - Kong perhaps looking for a knockout.

Kicker darts in and clinches Kong up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kicker is trying to pull guard but Kong turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kong wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kicker has him pressed against the cage.
Kicker gets underhooks to prevent Kong's takedown attempt.

Kong decides to pull guard.
Kicker tries to free his leg and advance position but Kong is retaining full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kicker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kong manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kicker has Kong in his guard.

Kong showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kicker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kong controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kong is looking to work some ground and pound but Kicker has wrist control.
Kicker wants to stand but Kong is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kong is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Kong stands and steps away. Kicker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Kong is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kicker's half guard.
Kicker is looking to get back to is feet but Kong passes into side control.
Kong lands an elbow.

Kong decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Kicker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Kong counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kicker falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kong counters with a three punch combo that has Kicker backing up. Kicker nods at Kong to acknowledge the strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kong keeps the fight on the outside.

Kong manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kicker on his heels. He'll look to pass Kicker's guard now, I'm sure.
Kong sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Kong's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jurgen Kong dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Kicker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kong eats them both and turns towards Kicker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Jurgen Kong has been cut.
Kicker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kong swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kong scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Kong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kicker sprawls well initially but Kong persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kong is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Kong is continuing to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kong thows a huge punch but Kicker dodges it nicely.
Kong wants to free his trapped foot but Kicker is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, if Kong is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kong looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kicker won't allow Kong to pass to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kicker is trying to stand back up but Kong is controlling him

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Maurice Kicker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kicker closes the distance and pushes Kong back into the cage.
Kong has Kicker pressed against the cage, preventing Kicker from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kicker is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kong to keep the fight standing.
Kicker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kong wants to break free but Kicker has control.

Kicker breaks from the clinch.

Kong darts in and clinches Kicker up against the cage.
Kicker fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maurice Kicker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kicker lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Kicker displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kong up against the cage.
Kicker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kong prevents it.
Kicker is trying to pull guard but Kong has him pressed against the cage.
Kicker wants a takedown.
Our sources have told us that Kicker has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Kicker blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Kong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kong throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kicker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kong is in Kicker's guard.

Jurgen Kong has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kong engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Kong looking to pass the guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kong stands and steps away. Kicker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Kicker throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kong.
Kicker lands a brutal head kick. Kong looks out on his feet and Kicker throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Maurice Kicker!
