Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie IV!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Huber Schlesien!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
IV moves out of range as Schlesien strikes.
IV takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Schlesien swings away with a body shot that misses
and IV counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Schlesien scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Schlesien walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Schlesien closes the distance looking to clinch
letting IV counter with a right hand.
IV uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schlesien.
IV rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Schlesien counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Charlie IV has been cut.
Schlesien ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
IV misses with a straight right.
Schlesien throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schlesien has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Schlesien misses with a body shot.
IV looks to land a left hand but Schlesien moved out of range nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schlesien lands a nice hook to IV's body. IV takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A big right from IV misses.
A little jabbing left from Schlesien on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
IV throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Schlesien swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Schlesien lands a right hook to the body.
IV throws an overhand right that lands on Schlesien's shoulder, as Schlesien tries to avoid the shot.
IV throws out a loose jab but Schlesien uses good head movement to avoid it.
IV misses with a straight right.
Schlesien scores with a nice head shot.
IV rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Schlesien counters with a left to the body.
IV throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Schlesien counters with a straight right hand.
Schlesien lands an overhand right.
IV throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Schlesien sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Schlesien defending well as IV loads up on a big left hand.
Schlesien throws out a loose jab but IV uses good head movement to avoid it.
IV was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Decent striking displayed by Schlesien there.
IV is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
A slow jab from IV misses its intended target.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schlesien bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
IV avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Schlesien lands with a cross.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A jab from IV misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Schlesien! But no joy.
Schlesien throws a shot to the body.

Schlesien lands a big shot that drops IV! Can he finish him?

IV is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schlesien passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Oh IV is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Schlesien wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by IV, who protects the arm well.

Schlesien stands up and beckons IV to his feet.
IV seems to have got his legs back now.
IV displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schlesien throws out the jab.
IV is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Schlesien moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Huber Schlesien!
Huber Schlesien is the new super heavyweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Huber Schlesien started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
