Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akira Tatakai (ranked 2569 p4p, 2921 weight class) and Luis Sanchez (ranked 162 p4p, 175 weight class). Sanchez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jay Z - Who you wit II kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Luis Sanchez struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatakai just misses with a punch to the body.
Sanchez throws a counter combo.
Tatakai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sanchez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tatakai counters with a nice uppercut.
Tatakai takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Tatakai swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sanchez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tatakai lands with a hook. Sanchez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

A telegraphed right hand from Sanchez misses the target.
Tatakai throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanchez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sanchez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tatakai moves away.

and Tatakai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tatakai pushes Sanchez up against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tatakai throws a punch but it's blocked by Sanchez.
Sanchez is still on wobbly legs! Can Tatakai finish him?
Tatakai lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sanchez backwards.

Sanchez has had enough of the clinch but Tatakai keeps him there for the moment.
A right hook to the body lands for Tatakai.
Tatakai gets through Sanchez's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Tatakai misses with a hook from the clinch.
Sanchez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tatakai creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Tatakai lands a big right hand that drops Sanchez! The killer instinct kicks in and Tatakai finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Tatakai!
