Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Bartz (ranked 412 p4p, 1851 weight class) and Odd Hansen (ranked 66 p4p, 255 weight class). Hansen has chosen Post Malone-Rockstar as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Odd Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartz throws a combination. Hansen tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Odd Hansen has been cut.
Bartz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hansen's sensitive parts.
Bartz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hansen. That did some damage!
Bartz lands a slapping body shot.
Odd Hansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hansen tries for a takedown but Bartz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hansen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hansen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bartz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hansen scrambles back to his feet.

Bartz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hansen. That did some damage!
Hansen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bartz as he avoids it easily.
A nice leg kick from Bartz, right into the meat of the thigh.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hansen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bartz finds it's way round the side to connect with Hansen's head.

Hansen doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bartz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Chad Bartz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Odd Hansen.

Hansen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hansen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bartz lands with a good body shot.

Bartz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bartz but Bartz pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bartz lands a jab to Hansen's midsection.
Hansen doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bartz counters with a left and a right that stings Hansen.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That has opened up Odd Hansen's cut even more.

Bartz drops Hansen with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hansen looks back up at him and smiles so Bartz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Hansen is rocked!
Hansen tries for a takedown but Bartz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bartz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Hansen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bartz is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Bartz sends Hansen crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bartz is motioning to the referee to let Hansen up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Hansen is still on wobbly legs! Can Bartz finish him?

The cut above Odd Hansen's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Bartz feints and then cracks Hansen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hansen down.

Hansen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bartz swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Bartz moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Hansen! Bartz continues to tee off on Hansen, landing with a left and a right! Bartz connects with a right hand that leaves Hansen sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Bartz!

Chad Bartz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
