Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Ashbourne Jr (ranked 1050 p4p, 1119 weight class) and Dragon Li Chai (ranked 62 p4p, 69 weight class). Ashbourne Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Vertical Horizon - You're A God. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashbourne Jr leaves Chai with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chai closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ashbourne Jr's guard.
Chai trying to control but Ashbourne Jr is working from the bottom.
Chai slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ashbourne Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chai circles away quickly and effectively.
Chai gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ashbourne Jr.

Chai throws a big shot that misses.
Ashbourne Jr throws a lazy right hand but Chai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ashbourne Jr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chai on the side of the head.
Chai throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ashbourne Jr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chai is in Ashbourne Jr's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
