Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Stark (ranked 448 p4p, 627 weight class) and Sammy Beach (ranked 68 p4p, 93 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stark gets tackled into the cage by Beach. Beach maintains the clinch.
Stark wants a takedown.
Beach creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Stark's defenses.

It looks like Tony Stark has been cut.
Stark can't get the takedown.
Stark tries to pull guard but Beach forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Stark goes for a takedown attempt but Beach pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Stark slips a jab and a cross from Beach.
Stark is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Beach.
Beach throws a body shot but no joy.
Stark tries to counter with a takedown but Beach is quick to defend against it.
Beach feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Starks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stark gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sammy Beach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stark fails with the takedown.

Stark closes the distance and clinches.
Beach is pressed up against the cage. Stark has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Beach down to the mat. Beach avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Beach fails to land with a series of punches.
Beach throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Stark decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beach's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Beach has control of Stark's left arm, preventing Stark from doing any damage.
Stark loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Stark stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beach swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stark is looking to pass into half guard but Beach pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Beach is in guard.

Beach content to stall in guard here.

Stark looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Beach wants to control from the top but Stark keeps moving.

Stark working for a triangle but Beach defends it easily.
Stark wants to sweep but no luck.
My spies in Gym inform me that Beach has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Beach slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Stark tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Stark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Beach gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Stark looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Stark has an active guard here but Beach has managed to pass into half guard.
Stark moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Stark has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Beach has passed into side control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stark walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Stark looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Stark circles away from the clinch attempt

and Stark counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ground and pound from Stark seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Stark is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Beach has escaped the position, nice work there.

Stark is working to tighten his grip on Beach's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Beach has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stark is really squeezing tight and eventually Beach passes out! Stark breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
