PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard John Salvacion (ranked 6405 p4p, 6450 weight class) and Virgin Mary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Richard John Salvacion has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Richard John Salvacion seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mary scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Salvacion enables Mary to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Salvacion manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Salvacion is working an open guard so Mary takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Salvacion seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt - Mary sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mary replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mary tries to kick Salvacion off in order to stand up. Salvacion Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mary can do anything to dispel that myth.
Salvacion wants to control but Mary is keeping him busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mary closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salvacion to the mat! Salvacion manages to get full guard.

Mary slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Salvacion shoots for a double leg takedown but Mary sprawls well. He's pushed Salvacion's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Virgin Mary comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mary has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
