Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herleifr Conchobhar (ranked 1381 p4p, 2645 weight class) and Andre Powell (ranked 172 p4p, 314 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andre Powell!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell throws a series of punches but Conchobhar moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Conchobhar misses the target.
Powell keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Conchobhar throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Powell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Powell tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Conchobhar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Andre Powell has been cut.
Conchobhar takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Powell lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Conchobhar seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Powell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Conchobhar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Powell.
Powell takes a jab right on the kisser.
Conchobhar moves out of range of the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Conchobhar looks to land a combination but Powell avoids it well.

Conchobhar looks to throw the jab but Powell is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Powell lands a really nice looking cross but Conchobhar seems unphased.
The fighters circling - Conchobhar throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Powell misses with an uppercut
letting Conchobhar counter with a right hand.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Powell has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Conchobhar staying out of range there.
Conchobhar steps in with a hook that catches Powell right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Conchobhar follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Powell looks absolutely devastated.
