PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marques Moura (ranked 2188 p4p, 2351 weight class) and Tommy No Bahamas (ranked 277 p4p, 323 weight class). Moura kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sepultura - Tainted Love. Marques Moura could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tommy No Bahamas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tommy No Bahamas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No Bahamas misses with a body shot.
Moura definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Moura darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Moura wants to pass the guard but No Bahamas is defending well.

Moura is sneakily working for an arm triangle but No Bahamas sees it coming and defends easily.
No Bahamas pushes Moura off looking to stand but Moura dives back in and keeps control.
Moura is nestled in close to No Bahamas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
No Bahamas is trying to stand.
Moura will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
No Bahamas is in trouble now - Moura has advanced to mount!

Moura has control of No Bahamas's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and No Bahamas regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Moura really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
No Bahamas is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moura fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

No Bahamas felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Moura lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

No Bahamas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
