Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Gordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brad Anthony!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Anthony sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gordon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Anthony gets the takedown into side control.
Anthony cracks Gordon with a big elbow.
Anthony landing strikes.
Anthony trying to control the action but Gordon is working from the bottom.
Anthony moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gordon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anthony wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

A lull in the action here as Anthony stalls from top position.
Anthony scoring with punches and elbows.
Anthony wants to stand but Gordon has his arm trapped.
Anthony lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gordon down.
Gordon is trying to get back to half guard.

Anthony is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gordon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gordon is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gordon takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Gordon misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Anthony wants to control but Gordon is keeping him busy.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gordon is trying to improve his position.
Anthony lands a few punches from side control.
Gordon tries to improve position but can't.
Anthony working the head and body with strikes.
Anthony gets to mount! Gordon was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Gordon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Anthony scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Gordon?

Anthony landing strikes from the mount and Gordon is in trouble!

Anthony has control of Gordon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gordon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Gordon is looking to get to half guard.
Gordon is breathing heavily.

Anthony is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gordon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gordon really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Gordon manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Gordon flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Anthony is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gordon is just riding it out for now. Anthony eventually gives up the hold.
Anthony lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Anthony is thwarting Gordon's attempts to control the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Brad Anthony dominated that round.
That's time! Gordon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gordon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gordon is defended easily by Anthony.
Gordon fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Gordon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Anthony counters with a left and a right that stings Gordon.

and Anthony counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anthony has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Gordon is trying to keep an underhook but Anthony manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Anthony wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gordon keeps working.
Anthony works his foot free and advances to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Anthony trying to control but Gordon is having none of it.
Anthony landing strikes from the mount.
Anthony controlling from the full mount.
Anthony lands a couple of good shots and Gordon has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Gordon trying to control the action but Anthony just sinks the hooks in.
I would not like to be Gordon right now.

Gordon is trying to defend against the choke here but Anthony has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Anthony Tightens the hold and Gordon taps out furiously! Anthony displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
