Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Julian Wallace (ranked 23709 p4p, 2002 weight class) and Norman Pike (ranked 304 p4p, 118 weight class). Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julian Wallace!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Norman Pike!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pike scores with a sloppy right hand. Wallace should have avoided that one.
A head kick misses from Wallace.
Wallace scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Pike looks to score with a jab to the body but Wallace is just out of range.
Pike has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wallace fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pike has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wallace throws a shot from downtown. Pike moves away and avoids it.
Wallace throws a lazy uppercut
and Pike counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Wallace goes down! Pike rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Wallace is up to one knee.... 8,9....10! He didn't make it! This fight is over!
