Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Claudio Manoel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Mesquita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manoel comes into the arena with Rocky Balboa blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manoel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mesquita.
Manoel throws a series of punches but Mesquita moves out of range.
Claudio Manoel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mesquita lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Manoel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Manoel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mesquita takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manoel drops Mesquita with a right and a left! Manoel comes rushing in but Mesquita regains his composure and manages to keep Manoel in guard.

Mesquita feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
