The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulkkinen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pulkkinen throws a right and a left that both miss.
A big left from Silva misses.
Pulkkinen tries to clinch up.
Silva cracks Pulkkinen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A swing and a miss from Silva.
Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pulkkinen throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Silva half committed to a counter leg kick.
Pulkkinen misses with a kick to the body.
We've been informed that Pulkkinen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Silva misses with a hook.

Oooooh!!! Pulkkinen has knocked Silva down with a huge combo! Pulkkinen steps away and waves a wobbly Silva back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Cairo Silva has been cut.

A jab lands there for Silva.
Pulkkinen avoids the head kick by Silva.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pulkkinen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pulkkinen lands a brutal head kick. Silva looks out on his feet and Pulkkinen throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Sepi Pulkkinen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
