Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gubba GU (ranked 4120 p4p, 5935 weight class) and Bugsy Seigel (ranked 451 p4p, 559 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GU throws out a loose jab but Seigel uses good head movement to avoid it.
GU seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
GU lands with a cross.

and Seigel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Gubba GU has been cut.

Seigel blocks a jab.
GU throws a body shot but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Seigel works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Seigel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by GU.
Gubba GU seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
GU throws an off balance right hand
and Seigel makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Seigel cracks GU with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends GU tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Seigel pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! GU is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
