Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Krampus (ranked 673 p4p, 1153 weight class) and Hurricane Defoe (ranked 95 p4p, 156 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hurricane Defoe!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krampus throws a shot from downtown. Defoe moves away and avoids it.
Krampus tries to score with a low kick but Defoe moves his leg out of the way.
Krampus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Defoe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Dexter Krampus has been cut.
Krampus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The crowd cheers as Krampus lands an impressive looking overhand right. Defoe doesn't seem phased though.

Defoe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Defoe is looking to slow Krampus down with leg kicks.

A nice leg kick lands there from Defoe.
Defoe throws a nice looking combination but Krampus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Krampus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Krampus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Defoe can pounce on him.

Krampus is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dexter Krampus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Defoe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Krampus.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Krampus.

Krampus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Defoe tries to avoid it but Krampus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Defoe to the ground. Defoe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Defoe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
