Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph Long!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donald Fonald!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fonald throws a series of punches but Long avoids them all with ease.
Fonald scores with a jab to the body.
Fonald moves into range and clinches up with Long.
Long trying to land knees to the body.
Fonald breaks from the clinch.

Long fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fonald, pushing him back against the cage.
Fonald breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Long tries to clinch up but Fonald circles away and keeps his distance.
Fonald cracks Long with an open hand slap.

Long misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Fonald misses the target.
Long throws a leg kick but Fonald sees it coming and checks it nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've been hearing reports that Long has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The fighters circle momentarily. Fonald darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Fonald fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Long.

Ralph Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fonald throws a right and a left that both miss.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Long moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Fonald! Long continues to tee off on Fonald, landing with a left and a right! Long connects with a right hand that leaves Fonald sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Long!
