Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olyn Seran (ranked 914 p4p, 920 weight class) and Anthony Merel (ranked 123 p4p, 125 weight class). Seran comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Silence - Disturbed. Olyn Seran has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Merel!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Seran.
Merel avoids the body shot from Seran.
A nice side step and Merel releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Merel misses with an uppercut.
Merel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Seran. Seran obviously looking to wear him down.
Seran dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Merel. That did some damage!

Olyn Seran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Seran closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Merel pushes down on Seran's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Merel is trying to control. Seran wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Seran is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Merel can do to turn this around?

Merel blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Seran lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

A frustrated look appears on Merel's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Seran looks to land a right hand but Merel moved out of range.
Seran swings for the body but Merel moves out of range.
Merel keeps the fight on the outside.
Merel appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Merel's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Merel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Anthony Merel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fighters circling - Merel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Seran pivots, looking for a leg kick but Merel is out of range and Seran settles back down.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Seran, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
