PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Odd Hansen (ranked 1409 p4p, 3733 weight class) and Eugeniy Tryastsyn (ranked 208 p4p, 467 weight class). Hansen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Post Malone-Rockstar. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Odd Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eugeniy Tryastsyn!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tryastsyn misses with a wild body shot.
Tryastsyn lands a jab to the nose.
Tryastsyn dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tryastsyn swings for the body but Hansen moves out of range.
Hansen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tryastsyn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hansen scrambles back to his feet.
Tryastsyn lands a nice shot that snaps Hansen's head back.
Hansen moves out of range of the strikes.
Hansen appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Tryastsyn getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Tryastsyn scores with a body shot.
Tryastsyn lands an overhand right.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tryastsyn but Tryastsyn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown but Tryastsyn shows good takedown defense.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hansen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tryastsyn pinned against the cage. Tryastsyn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Odd Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hansen or perhaps it was just good defense by Tryastsyn, which made it look bad.
Tryastsyn is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Hansen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hansen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tryastsyn finds it's way round the side to connect with Hansen's head.
Tryastsyn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hansen.
Tryastsyn lands a glancing blow to the side of Hansen's head.
Tryastsyn lands a really nice looking cross but Hansen seems unphased.

Hansen darts in looking for a takedown but Tryastsyn gets double underhooks and turns Hansen into the cage.
Tryastsyn tries a body shot but Hansen blocks it.
Hansen is trying to drag Tryastsyn to the mat but Tryastsyn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hansen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tryastsyn after a bit of a struggle.

Tryastsyn stalling the fight.
Hansen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tryastsyn is pushing Hansen up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hansen tries for a takedown but Tryastsyn manages to get underhooks.

Hansen has Tryastsyn pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hansen pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tryastsyn tumbling to the mat - Hansen dives into Tryastsyn's guard.
Tryastsyn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hansen manages to get himself to full guard.

Tryastsyn content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tryastsyn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hansen is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Alpha Brasil that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Hansen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tryastsyn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tryastsyn keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hansen's head.

Hansen has his foot on Tryastsyn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tryastsyn works his way back into a safe position though.
Tryastsyn postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Tryastsyn chips away with some ground and pound.

Hansen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tryastsyn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hansen is tightening it up a little... Tryastsyn has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tryastsyn reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tryastsyn taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hansen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Odd Hansen!
During a confident post fight interview, Odd Hansen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
