Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Edward Smart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donte McKenna!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenna blocks the body kick.
Smart keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McKenna.
And Smart counters with a quick kick to the body but McKenna blocks it.
McKenna shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smart as he jumps to the side.
Smart motions for McKenna to come forward. Smart throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McKenna tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Smart lands with a kick to the temple. McKenna shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Donte McKenna has been cut.

and McKenna counters with a takedown into side control.
Smart can't do much from the bottom here.
Smart regains half guard.
Smart moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
McKenna is looking to pass into half guard but Smart pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Smart is in guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McKenna is adopting a defensive guard.

Smart working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McKenna's head.
Smart wants to control from the top but McKenna keeps moving.
Smart definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Smart tries to free his leg and advance position but McKenna is retaining full guard.

Smart lands a decent elbow from side control.
Smart tries to advance to mount but can't.
Smart advances nicely into full mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smart takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McKenna is squirming around, avoiding Smart's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Smart with the ground and pound from mount.
Smart lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
McKenna tries to lock up and control but Smart gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

McKenna tries to improve his position but Smart has taken his back! Smart has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will McKenna tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Smart pushes McKenna away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
