Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Siale Veainu (ranked 350 p4p, 1271 weight class) and Nikolay Leonov (ranked 50 p4p, 201 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonov throws a leg kick that misses.
Leonov misses with a looping left.
Veainu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Leonov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Leonov missing with a left hand there. Veainu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A little feinted left hand from Veainu on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Leonov throws a lazy right hand but Veainu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Veainu went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Veainu's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Leonov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Veainu scrambles back to his feet.

Veainu lands a big uppercut and Leonov crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Leonov looks OK. Veainu waves Leonov back to his feet!

Veainu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Veainu blocks a jab.
Leonov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Leonov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Veainu's head backwards.
Veainu takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Leonov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Veainu steps in with a hook that catches Leonov right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Veainu follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Leonov looks absolutely devastated.
