Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Diamond Hand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Askrew!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hand lands a lovely overhand right.
Askrew has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hand finds it's way round the side to connect with Askrew's head.
Hand misses with a straight left.
Askrew uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hand.
Askrew drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hand defends it well.
Hand uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Askrew has time to react.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hand moves into range and connects with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hand misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Askrew feints the counter takedown.
Hand scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hand definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hand fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Askrew looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hand misses the shot to the body.
Askrew on the wrong end of a nice jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hand cracks Askrew with a right hand to the side of the head.
Hand throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Askrew.
Hand lands a really nice looking cross but Askrew seems unphased.
Askrew slips a jab and a cross from Hand.
Askrew is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Askrew has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hand finds it's way round the side to connect with Askrew's head.

Hand lands a big right hand that sends Askrew crashing to the mat! Hand stays standing though and waves Askrew back to his feet!
Hand lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Askrew is looking to close the distance but Hand sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Askrew crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Askrew is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Diamond Hand!
Diamond Hand spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
